Required course for first year students in Faculty of Management.
Polynomial, logarithmic, and exponential functions. Matrices and systems of linear equations. Limits and continuity. Differentiation of elementary functions. Curve sketching and optimization. Integration of polynomial and exponential functions. NOTE: Credit may be obtained for one of MATH 1003, MATH 1053, MATH 1823 or MATH 1843.
Requisites: A minimum grade of 60% in New Brunswick high school courses; Pre-Calculus A 120 and Pre-Calculus B 120, or equivalent courses.
At least a M.Sc. degree in mathematics or a related discipline, with successful teaching experience at the university level preferred.
