A study of the basic principles of clear prose writing, focusing on essay structure and organization, paragraph structure, sentence structure, grammar, punctuation, and word choice, as well as revising and proofreading. Students will submit numerous written assignments.

Qualifications

Master's degree in English, PhD preferred.

The department of English has two positions to teach ENGL 1103 available in the 2025 Winter term. Please clearly indicate on your application which section(s) you are applying for:

ENGL 1103 1B Monday/Wednesday/Friday 9:30AM-10:20AM

ENGL 1103 2B Monday/Wednesday/Friday  10:30AM-11:20AM

This course must be delivered in accordance with department regulations.
