Curriculum Context

This course aims to provide students with the capability of data-driven problem-solving. Starting from installing a Python programming environment, students will learn reading data, drawing graphs, hypothesis testing, and Bayesian statistics with hands-on programming experience. This course also aims to be an effective stepping-stone to study more advanced subjects such as machine learning and AI. No prior programming experience is required.

Pre-requisites:  Introduction to Statistics I (STAT 1793) or equivalent and one of STAT 2263, STAT 2593, BA 1605, or PSYC 2901.



Course Description

Qualifications

The following teaching assignment is available subject to final budgetary approval. It is available firstly to members of the bargaining unit.

The successful applicant will possess, at minimum, a Masters degree in CS. Requests will be considered on the basis of qualifications, experience required and the availability of the employee to perform the required duties at scheduled times.
