Encaenia week events

The University of New Brunswick holds four ceremonies for its graduating students. The ceremonies and events are held at the Richard J. CURRIE CENTER and the Student Union Building (SUB) ballroom.

 

Ceremony A: Forestry & Environmental Management, Nursing and Science

Wednesday, May 27

8 – 8:45 a.m.
Pick up procession cards in the main lobby of the Student Union Building and academic attire at the Student Union Building, Blue Room Lounge.

9 a.m. (arrive by 8:45 a.m.)
Orientation at the SUB Ballroom.

9:30 a.m.
Academic procession forms for the march to the Currie Center; students line up in Mackay Promenade. *

10 a.m.
Ceremony A is held on the 4th floor of the Currie Center.

11:30 a.m.
Encaenia Tea for graduates, family and friends.

Graduation hoods and gowns must be returned to the Student Union Building by 1:30 p.m.

 

Ceremony B: Management, Education and Kinesiology

Wednesday, May 27

Noon - 1:30 p.m.
Pick up procession cards in the main lobby of the Student Union Building and academic attire at the Student Union Building, Blue Room Lounge.

1:30 p.m. (arrive at 1:15 p.m.)
Orientation at the SUB Ballroom.

2 p.m.
Academic procession forms for the march to the Currie Center; students line up in Mackay Promenade. *

2:30 p.m.
Ceremony B is held on the 4th floor of the Currie Center.

4 p.m.
Encaenia Tea for graduates, family and friends.

Graduation hoods and gowns must be returned to the Student Union Building by 6 p.m.

 

Ceremony C: Arts, Law, Renaissance College and Interdisciplinary Studies

Thursday, May 28

8 – 8:45 a.m.

Pick up procession cards in the main lobby of the Student Union Building and academic attire at the Student Union Building, Blue Room Lounge.

9 a.m. (arrive by 8:45 a.m.)
Orientation at the SUB Ballroom.

9:30 a.m.
Academic procession forms for the march to the Currie Center; students line up in Mackay Promenade. *

10 a.m.
Ceremony C is held on the 4th floor of the Currie Center.

11:30 a.m.
Encaenia Tea for graduates, family and friends.

Graduation hoods and gowns must be returned to the Student Union Building by 1:30 p.m.

 

Ceremony D: Computer Science, Engineering

Thursday, May 28

Noon - 1:30 p.m.
Pick up procession cards in the main lobby of the Student Union Building and academic attire at the Student Union Building, Blue Room Lounge.

1:30 p.m. (arrive at 1:15 p.m.)
Orientation at the SUB Ballroom.

2 p.m.
