September 17 - NSERC Site Visit - NSERC Program Officers will be on site to go through the CGS Doctoral and Masters funding program with students, faculty and admins.

Where: McConnell Hall Senior Commons Room (on the right when you enter)

MITACS works with institutions nationwide to provide professional skills development courses to graduate students free of charge.

Interested in learning more about the MITACS Training Program? Check out their newly launched EDGE portal where you can create and account, and register for upcoming workshops near you.

To get started on EDGE, follow the steps below:

  • Visit and click on ‘Create an Account’ to enter your details
  • Select your Learner Affiliation on the EDGE Registration Portal
  • Carefully select the current Mitacs Program Affiliation
    • If they are not a Mitacs Intern or program participant select ‘General’
  • Click on ‘Catalog’ on the home dashboard
  • Filter for ‘Instructor Led Course’
  • Look for the course you want to register for (Time Management) and click on ‘Enrol’ followed by ‘Choose Session’
  • You will be redirected to a calendar. Please click on ‘View Next Available Session’ and click ‘Enrol’.
  • After signing up, they can register by doing the following:  

GEAR - Graduate Essentials for Academic Research

All graduate students are welcome to attend GEAR!

GEAR is a series of free workshops hosted by UNB Libraries. Sessions will take place in the Learning Lab (Room 112) at the Harriet Irving Library
