Book a workout (or swim) time

Booking a workout (or swim) time will allow us to adhere to and maintain our capacity standards. This measure will also allow us to promote physical distancing and help reduce the spread of COVID-19 and other communicable diseases in a safe and effective manner.

Important details

  • Members will be required to book a workout (or swim) time, either online or by phone at (506) 453-4579, in advance of accessing the facilities until further notice. Bookings will open up at midnight, 4-days in advance of the booking times.

  • Member workout times are limited to 60-minute increments at the CURRIE CENTER and 45-minute increments at the SMA Pool until further notice.

  • Members will be given a bracelet to wear upon entry that signifies the booking period.

  • Consecutive booking times are permitted at the CURRIE CENTER, but members will be required to exit and re-enter the facility after each booking period regardless of when they entered.

  • As URec strives to serve more members, consecutive bookings and multiple day bookings will no longer be allowed at the SMA Pool.

  • Facilities will undergo a cleaning transition after each booking period. A 15-minute cleaning transition will be completed after each booking period at both the CURRIE CENTER & SMA Pool.

  • UREC will begin implementing a new no-show policy for the Richard J CURRIE CENTER and the Sir Max Aitken pool beginning on Monday, April 19. Members who miss 3 or more workout bookings in one week (Monday- Sunday) at the RJCC will receive a one-week suspension. Members who miss 2 or more pool bookings in one week (Monday- Sunday) at the SMA pool will receive a one-week suspension.

  3. Click "Book a Workout Time" to enter the Bookings Manager
  4. Select the desired facility you wish to use
  5. Choose your desired workout date(s) and time(s)

Upon arrival, our team will administer a pre-screening questionnaire for symptoms of COVID-19. Our team will also be available to answer any questions or concerns. Directional and Public Health signage will be visible and indicate how to move throughout the facilities.
