Environmental Health and Safety
The principal role of the Environmental Health and Safety Office (EHS) is to assist others in fulfilling their responsibilities for safe work practices. This may take many forms such as collecting and disseminating information on workplace hazards, evaluating work environments and assessing risks and suggesting ways of improving safety in the workplace. Safety is a responsibility to be shared by everyone on the University campus: employees, students and visitors alike.
The staff of the Environmental Health and Safety Office (EHS), are available during normal working hours to answer inquiries on environmental health and safety issues. Specific areas of operation which fall under Environmental Health and Safety include:
