Summer Residence

Dates of Operation 

Opening date for students arriving to Summer Residence from off-campusMay 3rd, 2021 

Students living in residence for the Winter 2021 term who are approved for Summer Residence will be contacted directly with details about the transition from academic year residence to Summer Residence. These students will be permitted to stay in residence between the closure of academic year residence and the opening of summer residence. 

Summer Residence closes on Friday, July 30thAll summer residents must move off-campus on or before this date unless they have a confirmed residence room placement for the Fall 2021 term.



The eligibility criteria for Summer Residence 2021 are as follows: 

  • Must be a current UNB student. 
  • Must have an on-campus academic commitment during the summer months. E.g. a classroom-based summer course. 
  • Must stay a minimum of 30 nights. 
  • If you are an international student currently staying in residence, exceptions may apply. Please contact for more information.

Room Types and Rates 

All summer residents will be placed into suite style rooms in Elizabeth Parr-Johnston Residence. Please see below for more information on the features of our suite style rooms. 

Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate individual preferences between 2- and 3-bedroom suites. All summer residents will be charged the same fee of $19.99 per night. These charges are tax-exempt.
