Research interests

Organic & computational chemistry, chemical education

Our research activities span several aspects of organic chemistry:

  • In the area of computational chemistry, we develop new methods for the computer-assisted design of organic molecules, and apply these methods to the study and design of organocatalysts.
  • In the area of experimental organic chemistry, we design, synthesize, and study novel organocatalysts.
  • We are also active in the advancement of new theoretical models for understanding the properties and reactivity of organic molecules.
  • Finally, in the area of chemical education, we develop interactive multimedia courseware and games for teaching and learning university-level organic chemistry.
