Joni Leger is the Associate Director of the MMFC at the University of New Brunswick. She has a BA, Honours Psychology, from Mount Allison University and a Master’s in Applied Health Services Research from UNB. She brings years of experience working in applied research environments in post-secondary education at NBCC, Mitacs and Springboard Atlantic.

She has been developing and managing projects with academic, industry, government and community partners for the past decade. Her involvement in collaborative research activities has supported economic development and student engagement in research processes in New Brunswick.

Her familiarity with the not-for-profit sector evolved through paid work and volunteer opportunities with Support for Single Parents and the YWCA in Moncton. Joni believes in the important role innovative research plays in processes of social change. Currently enrolled in the Interdisciplinary Studies doctoral program at UNB, she plans to conduct research on policy and decision-making.
