Biography

Dr. Paul Cook received his PhD in Computer Science from the University of Toronto in 2010 and joined the University of New Brunswick Faculty of Computer Science in 2014. He works in the areas of natural language processing and computational linguistics.

Dr. Cook's research focuses on lexical semantics (i.e., the meanings of words) and multiword expressions (e.g., idioms). He is also particularly interested in language technologies that could aid the learning and teaching of the Wolastoqey language.
