The UNB Art Centre Shines a Spotlight on UNB’s Media Art Students

The UNB Art Centre and the Media Arts and Culture Department present Bourgeoning. Bourgeoning is a group show featuring new work developed by students in the course Media Art (MAAC3001), taught by professor, Amy Siegel. Students created new work throughout the semester and collectively executed the exhibition.

Bourgeoning showcases a range of work from student artists in their first, second, third and fourth years of study across a broad range of disciplines. The exhibition features a series of video art works, interactive installations, video games, and more.

Participating artists include: Bear Reyes, Chelsea Hutton, Daniil Kurchatkin, Esther Birungi, Isaac O’Donnell, Josef Paul, Joshua Strickland, Katie McDonough, Lianne Summer Pabustan, Mathieu Aussant, Naomy Albert, Parker Sedgewick, Rigjey Namdroen, Saksham Ajmani, Sarah Nearing, Veronica Jewett, Zoe Campbell.

The Bourgeoning exhibition will be on display at the UNB Art Centre from April 9 to April 29, with an opening reception on Thursday, April 9, from 5-7 p.m.

The UNB Art Centre is located at Memorial Hall, 9 Bailey Drive, University of New Brunswick, Fredericton.  The galleries are open 9 am - 4 pm weekdays and during special events. Admission is free to members of the public.
