Learn to use Esri Story Maps to help you visualize your research using modern or historical maps, augmented by images, sound, video, and other resources.

During this workshop Data/GIS Librarian, Siobhan Hanratty, will introduce you to some basic concepts that will help prepare you to create a story map using data, text, images, and other multi-media content as applicable.  You will be provided with some sample data to begin, and time permitting you will have an opportunity to work with your own data.  If you wish to work on your own projects, please come prepared with a spreadsheet containing five to 10 points of interest.  Fields should include location and descriptive title of events, but classified themes, dates, and notes may prove to be valuable as well.  In addition, if you have scanned images you would like to include and/or links to other media please bring them along as well.

Please register online or contact Siobhan Hanratty for more details.
