Newly admitted students who have completed AP courses in high school may be eligible for advanced standing (transfer credit) toward their studies at UNB.

To apply for transfer credit please ensure your official AP score results are mailed directly from the AP College Board to UNB. The 4-digit institution code for UNB Fredericton is 0976 and for UNB Saint John it is 9068.

*Labs only transferred for students in programs in which labs are included in program requirements.

**CHEM 1872 only transferred to engineering students.

***Students cannot receive credit for both English Language and Composition as well as English Literature and Composition, 6ch max.

Newly admitted students who have completed IB courses in high school may be eligible for advanced standing (transfer credit) toward their studies at UNB.

To apply for transfer credit please ensure your official results are sent directly from the International Baccalaureate Organization to UNB. Only courses that are completed at the Higher Level (HL) are eligible for transfer credit.  

*Lab credits only transferred for students in programs in which labs are included in program requirements.

Newly admitted students who have completed A-Level courses may be eligible for advanced standing (transfer credit) toward their studies at UNB.

Please ensure official results are sent directly from the issuing body. Note these transfers are only applicable to Pearson and Cambridge A-Levels. Only courses completed at the A-Level (not AS-Level) are eligible for transfer credit.

**CHEM 1872/1877 & CHEM 2421 only applicable for bachelor of engineering.

***Transfers for mathematics are dependent on route taken within A-Level course. The Registrar’s Office will contact incoming student. MATH 1793 is not transferrable to bachelor of engineering.
