ESL0996English as a Second Language: PAEP I

This course is for students who have been accepted into a UNBF degree program through the Program of Academic English Preparation. Students in this course may understand concrete concepts, but have not demonstrated the English language proficiency required to function in their chosen field of study. The course focuses on beginning development of academic reading, writing, listening and speaking skills as well as increasing lexical and cultural awareness required for university studies.

ESL0997English as a Second Language: PAEP II
This course is for students who have been accepted into a UNBF degree program through the Program of Academic English Preparation.  Students in this course functions fairly well in concrete phraseology and comprehend and express with hesitation on an abstract plane.  The course focuses on intermediate development of academic reading, writing, listening and speaking skills as well as increasing lexical and cultural awareness required for university studies.  Students at this level could potentially enroll in one full-time university course in their chosen field of study.
ESL0998English as a Second Language: PAEP III
This course is for students who have been accepted into a UNBF degree program through the Program of Academic English Preparation.  Students in this course may possess the ability to understand and express ideas but have difficulty with consistent and accurate control. The course focuses on advanced development of academic reading, writing, listening and speaking skills as well as increasing lexical and cultural awareness required for university studies.  Students at this level could potentially enroll in at least two full-time university courses in their chosen field of study.
