NURS6025Knowledge Synthesis and Dissemination (Elective Course)3 ch

This doctoral-level course prepares students to conduct knowledge synthesis and disseminate findings for a variety of stakeholders. Synthesis types such as integrative, narrative, scoping and systematic reviews are covered and their relationship to evidence informed healthcare explored. Students will apply review methods to develop a research question, conduct a comprehensive literature search strategy, and to critically appraise research evidence. Emphasis is placed on using synthesized evidence to guide clinical decision-making, healthcare policy, education and research.
