Undergraduate scholarship program

We take a progressive approach to annual scholarship funding. Our scholarship program recognizes your academic achievement and helps fund your education.

High school students

Your scholarship offer for your first year at UNB is based on your scholarship average which is the 6 courses required for admission into your program of choice plus bonus points for completed IB, AP and/or enriched grade 11 and 12 courses.

To be considered for entrance scholarships, complete the entrance scholarship application by Mar. 1. The information you provide will help us assess you for hundreds of scholarship opportunities. All scholarships will be distributed by Apr. 30.

Scholarship average Scholarship minimum amount
100% $5,000
95-99.9% $4,000
90-94.9% $2,000
85-89.9% $1,000

Scholarship offers are dependent upon your SGPA, our funding and applications. Scholarship names are subject to change. Bachelor of Education, Transfer and Juris Doctor do not fall under this scale.

Continuing students (year 2, 3, 4 and beyond)

Once you're here, this is how it works: we use your grades from the previous year (scholarship GPA) to determine the value of your scholarship funding for the upcoming year.

To be considered for continuing scholarship support, complete 3 simple steps:

  1. apply every year between Jan 1 - Apr 15 (continuing students scholarship application)
  2. achieve at least a 3.7 SGPA
  3. complete at least 24 credit hours in the previous assessment year (May-April)

Every year is a fresh start with UNB's unique scholarship program. Funding starts at $1,000 for a 3.7 SGPA.
