An email upgrade by Microsoft scheduled for this Saturday, September 7, that was advertised to be completely invisible to end users is in fact anything but invisible. Our requests and escalations to Microsoft to delay the upgrade have all been denied. All Office 365 users which includes all undergraduate and graduate students, alumni and retirees will be required to update their device (laptop, phone, etc) settings with the following information once the upgrade has been completed.

Exchange ActiveSync connections:

- The server pod51009.outlook.com needs to be changed to outlook.office365.com

IMAP connections:
- Need to change pod51009.outlook.com to outlook.office365.com for incoming server
- Need to change pod51009.outlook.com to smtp.office365.com for outgoing SMTP server

Those solely using the web client through the myUNB Portal will be unaffected by this change.

Additional detailed instructions can be found on tidBiTS, ITS' blog: http://blogs.unb.ca/tidbits/
