Network maintenance has been completed on UNB’s VoIP telephone services (Teams Calling) and other services.

Original Details:

On Sunday, May 18 from 6 a.m. – noon (6 hours), UNB’s VoIP telephone services (Teams Calling) and other services will be unavailable due to essential network maintenance. This maintenance will impact all UNB campuses – Fredericton, Saint John and Moncton.  

What IT services will be unavailable?  

VoIP Telephone Services & 9-1-1 – All calls made to and from a UNB phone number via the 'Calls' tab within MS Teams, including emergency calls to 9-1-1, will be unavailable during the maintenance period. In case of an emergency on campus, please use a cell phone or pay phone to dial 9-1-1. While new voicemails cannot be left during the maintenance period, existing voicemails will remain accessible. 

You can still make and receive calls using Teams chat or by joining a Teams meeting from off-campus or via cellular network.  

Other Services – You will be unable to access the following: 

• Hosted servers: 
  • Physics - CHAIN server 
  • IBME - LAMBDA server 
  • STU: JSP server (management interface only)
