Some Yealink desktop phones may display the following error message, ‘No internet. Emergency calls aren’t supported'.  The computer connected to the Yealink desktop phone may still have a working internet connection, but all incoming and outgoing calls on the phone will not be completed.  If attempting to make a call you may receive a dial tone, but your call will end without being completed.

ACTION REQUIRED: restart your Yealink desktop phone

  1.    Disconnect the internet cord that connects the phone to the wall
  2.    Re-connect the internet cord and the phone will restart
  3.    Once your phone has restarted, a firmware update may be installed.  Once installed, your phone will return to the home screen
  4.    The issue should now be resolved

If you are still receiving the error message after restarting your phone, contact the IT Service Desk at itservicedesk@unb.ca.

*Calls made to/from the MS Teams desktop or mobile app are not affected.
