Original Details:

A new phishing email was recently discovered at UNB with the subject line “JOB ALERT” and appearing to come from a UNB email address. The email describes a new job opportunity and prompts you to send your personal information (email, phone number, etc.) to a gmail address to apply. 

If you received this email, please do not respond or provide your information and delete it immediately.

Always be suspicious of emails asking for personal information. If you’re unsure about the legitimacy of an email, DO NOT reply or click on any links. Instead, contact the IT Service Desk at itservicedesk@unb.ca, 506-457-2222 (Fredericton) or 506-657-2222 (Saint John) and we will let you know if it’s okay.
