Kate DoyleKate Doyle is a long time builder, currently working with the Horizon Health Network in a Community Development role. Her daily work is varied – from helping to develop access to affordable food, hosting conversations with youth about how they handle their mental health, or developing projects that aim to serve people made vulnerable with empathy and innovation, no day looks the same as the one before. While the work can change on a daily basis, Kate’s passion remains in connecting individuals, organizations and systems that may not be used to working together, helping them acknowledge challenges, identify common opportunities and celebrate shared success.
Kate recently graduated from UNB’s Renaissance college with a Bachelor of Integrated Studies as well as with certificates in Family Violence Issues and Leadership Studies. She lives in Moncton with her partner, daughter and their polydactyl cat. Having done her BIS entirely online in her “free” time and now not being used to “free” time, she is now exploring other areas of learning for both personal and professional development. She enjoys watercolour painting, volunteering and hunting for the best lobster rolls New Brunswick has to offer.

Rosalie CassidyAfter graduating from RC , Rosie completed her MBA at UNBSJ and then attended medical school. She went to Saint James in Anguilla, did her rotations through Chicago, and landed in a Family Medicine Residency in Iowa. She is now practicing at a Family Medicine Clinic in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Looking back , she is very happy with her experience from RC, She is still friends with the people she met there. She remembers having the best experiences - including the international internship. She feels strongly that what she learned at RC does apply and is useful in her current situation. Congratulations Rosie!

Mallory MurphyHi, my name is Mallory (she/ her)! I graduated from Renaissance College in 2019 with a Minor in Psychology. I completed my Canadian Internship in Huntsville, Ontario at Newport Adventure Camp as a Camp Counsellor/ Cabin Leader. I completed my International Internship in Aruba at Sgt. Pepper’s Friends, a non-profit animal rescue organization. Unlike my Canadian Internship, I didn’t return home from my International Internship alone… I brought back my cat, Dot who I rescued and raised as a bottle baby and we are an extremely bonded mommy-daughter duo.
Since graduation, I have spent time working in various roles. Most recently I worked as a Marketing Communications Coordinator at a Fredericton-based biotechnology company called LuminUltra Technologies Ltd. I decided to resign from my position at LuminUltra in August 2021 to return to UNB to upgrade my Minor in Psychology to a Major through the Arts faculty. I intend to graduate with Honours in 2023 and pursue graduate school afterwards.
I am based in Fredericton (just around the corner from RC) and welcome any current students or other alumni to reach out to chat.

Ryan CobbRyan works as the Customer Experience Manager at LuminUltra Technologies.
His work is in the intersections between sales, marketing and customer success. Ryan loves to work in a team to solve problems and believes so much can be learned from others.
Ryan graduated from Renaissance College in 2016 and was accepted as one of 70 new graduates into the Venture for Canada Fellowship Program. He joined an agricultural technology startup as employee #2 after the founding team and helped the company grow to 30 people.
Outside of work, Ryan enjoys running, going for a hike or trying a new recipe.

Kate RossKate Ross is a Certified Child Life Specialist in Calgary, Alberta. Graduating from Renaissance College in 2005, Kate Ross has molded the experiential learning of the program into an exciting career. Her Canadian internship at the Alberta Children's Hospital and international internship in a Bhutanese elementary school confirmed her passion for working with children. After graduating RC, she was accepted into McMaster University's postgraduate Child Life program and took on roles in New Brunswick and Alberta. Shifting her profession focus to pediatric palliative care, Kate became the primary Child Life Specialist at the first Pediatric Hospice in Calgary. Supporting respite, palliative care, and family centered grief support, the program has grown and adapted to the needs of families supported in the ever-changing healthcare landscape. Kate was excited to partner with RC again in the summer of 2020 as a supervisor of a Canadian Internship for a student of the 2022 cohort. That opportunity was an incredible window into the amazing academics RC is offering to students as well as a wonderful way to create a now thriving virtual outpatient program for the hospice. With an interest in teaching, Kate completed her Masters in Child Life and Pediatric Psychosocial Care in 2017 and is also now a sessional instructor at a post-secondary institution in BC. Grateful for her time at RC, Kate is a proud alumni of this incredible program and excited to see what future graduates will accomplish.

He is passionate about how public policy impacts the community and how policy can have a positive impact. From serving as Co-Chair of the Capital Pride Youth Committee, David worked to build the 2SLGBTQ youth community up by creating a stronger sense of community in the national capital region, and advocating for key issues that matter to youth, such as banning conversion therapy, proper sex-ed in schools and ending the blood ban for gay men. David is involved in sports as a swim coach and is also working with several organizations to make sports an inclusive space for 2SLGBTQ athletes, working with organizations like You Can Play, Egale and Coach New Brunswick. David was selected as a Young Sport Maker at Global Sports week in Paris which opened his eyes to how sports can have a positive social impact. He combined his interests of policy and sport by creating Sports for Social Impact, a website and podcast that explores all the ways that sport can contribute to policy objectives and leave a positive lasting impact on our communities.
