Spring Orientation, Advising and Registration (S.O.A.R.)

Welcome to our UNB family!

We are excited you have chosen UNB Fredericton and Spring Orientation, Advising and Regsitration - or SOAR - is just the start of your journey. SOAR was a virtual orientation event on Saturday, May 29, 2021 to help you prepare for all aspects of undergraduate student life.

Parents and supporters are invited to attend SOAR with your student. We know that your student starting university is a transition for you, too, and we want you to know what to expect.

Small group sessions, based upon program stream and teachable concentrations will be scheduled after May 29. Watch your email for details. Individual advising sessions can be scheduled upon request by emailing winslow@unb.ca.

Transfer student registration will occur in June and transfer students will be notified by email of day and time.

Faculty Advising Information Sessions following SOAR:

  • Tuesday, June 1, 7-8 p.m.
  • Thursday, June 3, 7-8 p.m.
  • Saturday, June 5, noon
  • Wednesday June 9, 7-8 p.m.

Sessions will explore the BBA curriculum and program options and Peer Mentors will be available to answer questions.

One-on-one support is available for course selection and registration.


Two additional information sessions will be held in June (choose one):

  • June 14 at 3:30 p.m.
  • June 28 at 6:30 p.m.

Two Q&A sessions will be held in July (attend one or both):

  • July 6 at 3:30 p.m.
  • July 20 at 6:30 p.m.
