UNB’s Export Partnering Program is all about hands on experience in export marketing strategy. Senior BBA students have the opportunity to gain the skills and knowledge to develop and implement an export strategy in the real world.
As a student in this program you will be matched with a participating company to research international market opportunities for their products and services and prepare a strategic plan.
Students register for ADM4353 Export Market Entry, which is a project-based course focused on developing an export market entry plan (complete with research, assessment, tactics and strategy) for a new-to-exporting company that serves as a live case study. In this class you will learn how to dissect companies, assess their international market opportunities and design an action plan.
Recently, the class partnered with Ignite Fredericton, who helped to pair the students with the businesses enrolled in their “Igniter Export” program, a program that helps growth stage companies find new markets for export.
Companies enrolled in the Igniter Export program benefit from the academic knowledge and strategic skills provided by the students and UNB instructor teaching the class, while the students benefit by being able to apply their learning to a real business’s export plan.
