Daniel Quintal-Curcic

Daniel J. Quintal-Curcic, Ph.D. (he/him), is an Assistant Professor of Human Resources in the Faculty of Management at the University of New Brunswick. He completed his Ph.D. in Management at the University of Ottawa’s Telfer School of Management and joins UNB following a SSHRC Fellowship at York University’s Schulich School of Business.

Daniel’s research interests are at the intersection of health and the workplace. His work focuses on mental health and well-being, as well as the workplace experiences of 2SLGBTQ+ employees. Across these areas, he is interested in how organizational practices, workplace relationships, and broader societal factors relate to employees’ health and identities. The goal of his research is to contribute to healthier, more inclusive, and more equitable workplaces.

Daniel’s research has been presented at national and international conferences, including the Academy of Management Annual Meeting, the European Association of Work and Organizational Psychology Congress, the European Academy of Occupational Health Psychology Conference, the Canadian Psychological Association Annual National Convention, the Association for Psychological Science Annual Convention, and the Work and Family Researchers Network Conference. His work has also been published in the Journal of Business and Psychology.

Daniel has taught courses in human resource management, organizational behaviour, and change management. At UNB, he teaches workplace health and safety and applied management skills.
