Julia is community engaged scholar whose intersecting identities continuously inform approach to research and practice in community development, individual and organizational learning, and program evaluation. Julia applies participatory methods and techniques, including arts-based, to facilitate collaborative reflection and inquiry and is leading a research program focussed on transformative leadership for sustainable futures.

Julia's current research projects include community engaged research with social enterprise founders in New Brunswick and Atlantic Canada, a partnered community-based research with the Canadian Worker Co-op Federation, and a knowledge mobilization project with worker co-ops and social enterprises 'Co-creating Abundance'.
