Dr. Ge Cui has been an Assistant Professor in the Department of Geodesy and Geomatics Engineering at the University of New Brunswick since 2025. He received his PhD in 2018 from the Department of Geomatics Engineering at the University of Calgary, and previously received his BSc and MSc degrees from Wuhan University, China.

His primary research interests include trajectory reconstruction and pattern detection from sparse mobility data, optimization of urban mobility systems, and the analysis of land use–transport interactions.

He teaches several courses, including GGE 3423 Introduction to GIS, GGE 4423 Advanced GIS, and GGE 5405/6505 Introduction to Big Data & Data Science.

I am seeking highly motivated students to join my research group. Applicants should have a strong background in GIS, Computer Science, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
