Dr. Madison Trusolino is an Assistant Professor (LTA) in Sociology in the Department of Social Science at the University of New Brunswick Saint John. She earned her SSHRC-funded PhD in Information Studies at the University of Toronto, where she was also a Jackman Humanities Institute Doctoral Fellow under the theme of “Labour.” She was a Dalhousie University Postdoctoral Fellow on the first national study on 2SLGBTQ+ Poverty.

Her research and teaching engage with political economy, sexuality and gender, and the sociology of labour with a specific emphasis on work and worker-led organizing in the arts and culture industries. She’s had the opportunity to interview and write about comedians, actors, journalists, tech workers and live music workers.

Her current research looks at the relations between unionization in the digital creative industries and social justice movements.
