Intersections of Values, Lived Experience, and Scholarship: An Academic and Personal Journey
Dr. Tymowski-Gionet is a professor of applied ethics whose work spans sport ethics; sport, animals, and ethics; health ethics; mindfulness; healthy living; and personal responsibility. In this interactive session, she will reflect on her lifelong engagement with ethical questions and the personal, academic, and professional journey that led her to a career in academia focusing on philosophy and ethics.
This discussion will offer insight into what it means to build a career in applied ethics, how philosophical interests evolve over time, and how values, lived experience, and scholarship intersect. Students curious about ethics, social justice, health, sport, or academic life more broadly may find this talk intellectually engaging and personally relevant.
All are welcome to attend. We hope you will join us for this thoughtful and engaging conversation.
