Join the UNB Department of Culture & Media Studies' Media Artist in Residence, Gary Weekes, for a presentation entitled “A Photographer’s Retrospective: My Journey to Here, from There”. Gary works in a wide range of photographic disciplines - from still life to portraiture. In 2024, he was featured in the Beaverbrook Art Gallery’s Expressions in Excellence: Voices from Black Artists Speaker Series. He received CBC's NB Black Changemaker’s Award in 2022 as one of five outstanding contributors from the black community. The talk will end with a Q&A session.

The event will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 7 at 7 p.m., 19 Macaulay Lane, Carleton Hall, Room 139 Fredericton. Reception with light refreshments at 6:30 p.m. Free Parking. All are welcome.
