The UNB Reading Series is pleased to invite you to a virtual reading by Billy-Ray Belcourt with an opening reading by special guest, UNB graduate Christine Wu, on Wednesday, Feb. 8 at 7 p.m. Atlantic.

Billy-Ray Belcourt is a writer and academic from the Driftpile Cree Nation. He is an assistant professor in the School of Creative Writing at the University of British Columbia. He is the author of four books: This Wound is a World, NDN Coping Mechanisms: Notes from the Field, A History of My Brief Body, and A Minor Chorus.

Christine Wu is a Chinese-Canadian poet whose work has appeared in multiple publications, including The Malahat Review, The Fiddlehead, Contemporary Verse 2  and Room. She was a finalist for the 2022 Bronwen Wallace Award for Emerging Writers. Originally from the West Coast, she now lives in Kjipuktuk/Halifax, NS.
