Event Details:

The RBC Student Pitch Competition is a takeoff of the elevator pitch. An elevator pitch is designed to give a concise overview of a product, service, or idea taking no longer than the duration of an elevator ride.

The next RBC Student Pitch Competition organized by The Technology Management & Entrepreneurship (TME) Program at the J. Herbert Smith Centre will be held on Thursday, March 31, 2022.

Applications are open to all full-time students, graduate or undergraduate, from both campuses, across all faculties.

Application Guideline:
Application deadline is 11:59 p.m (AST) on March 14 after which submissions will be screened and finalists will be able to pitch their ideas to a panel of judges for three minutes - vying for $5,000 worth of cash prizes.

You'll need to submit an executive summary (max. 600 words) as part of the registration, by the March 14th deadline. Please upload your submission here.

The RBC Student Pitch Competition is an ideal setting to receive candid feedback from judges, network with the business community, and brush up on presenting your business case in a succinct and compelling way.

Eligibility
The competition is open to any UNB student as well as University students around the world with an interest in driving technological or social innovation to better the world in which we live.
Entries may be submitted by individuals or by groups of up to four.

Submission and selection process
Registration deadline | March 14 at 11:59 p.m (AST) Register online
March 21: Finalists will be announced.
March 31: Student Pitch Competition.

Judging criteria
Finalists will be selected from executive summaries based on:
• Innovation impact, viability, and sustainability of the idea
• Persuasiveness of summary
• Effectiveness of summary

Pitch winners will be selected based on:
• Innovation impact, viability, and sustainability of the idea
• Presentation enthusiasm and effectiveness of the pitch
• Level of engagement during the pitch and Q&A
