Please mark your calendars for the first talk of our virtual Winter 2021 Feminist Lunch Series in the Faculty of Arts to be given on Wednesday, Jan. 27 at 12:00pm via Teams by Lisa Anne Ross (Theatre at STU).

The talk is titled: "My Feminist Clown - Twatsy Power and Beyond."

Join theatre artist Lisa Anne Ross on a fun romp examining her past and present artistic creations and how her relationship with feminism has flourished and evolved in the creative sphere. Content Warning - This ‘talk’ features giant vaginas and references to twats.

Lisa Anne Ross teaches theatre and directs performances at St. Thomas University. Ross is also the Artistic Producer of Solo Chicken Productions and Co-Artistic Director of the coop ("a new initiative launched by Solo Chicken that aims to create opportunities for both professional and emerging New Brunswick artists"). Ross studied at Dalhousie University, The Dell’Arte International School of Physical Theatre in California and York University, where she received her MA in theatre as a tool for social change.

Our virtual Feminist Lunch Series series will continue on Feb. 10 with a talk by Erin Fredericks, from STU Sociology. Subsequent talks will take place on Feb. 24, March 17 and March 31. All are invited!
