In your first year you will study basic sociology concepts and theories in our introductory course, a requirement for going into further sociology studies.

Course of study

Students must take a minimum of three sociology courses before the end of second year to apply to complete an honours, major or double major in sociology.

Upper-level studies in sociology can involve topics like gender studies, cultural studies, community-based research, health, and communications.

Sociology at work

A sociology degree gives you the skills to analyze relationships, like those between people and governments, corporations and communities.
