This course covers the theory, equipment and application of machine tool and metal removal processes. In addition to understanding machining methods, the economics and comparison between machining methods are stressed. Processes covered are turning, milling, drilling, broaching, abrasive machining, finishing, numerical control as well as electrical and chemical machining. Theory is applied through actual machine operation in a laboratory setting 

Prerequisite: INDT 2111 with a minimum grade of C.
