In this class, students will have an opportunity to analyzse Canadian history as represented on television (such as the Heritage Minutes). The course will enable students to critically engage with the commemoration of Canadian history through TVtv. Students will be encouraged to think about both the selection of historical events for commemoration as well as the portrayal of these events. Students will also participate in creating their own commemorative project, such as a Heritage Minute. Note: Credit cannot be counted for both COMS 2202 and HIST 2202.
