Explore the ideas and continued relevance of early canonical sociological theorists through the first half of the 20th century. The course engages the work of thinkers including Durkheim, Weber, Wollstonecraft, Du Bois, Coolidge, de Beauvoir, and Fanon, with a particular emphasis on Marx.  

Prerequisites: One of 6 ch of 1000-level SOCI courses, 6 ch of ARTS 1000-level courses, or permission of the instructor.
