INDG1002Introduction to Indigenous Studies3 ch [3C/WEB] (EL)
A multidisciplinary approach to the history and cultures of Indigenous Peoples focusing on interactions with European newcomers and the challenges faced by First Nations within the context of colonialism - both historical and contemporary. Decolonization as it pertains to governance and territorial rights, health and community, language and education will also be examined. NOTE: Students may receive credit for ARBG 1002 or INDG 1002, but not both.
