ED6170Assistive and Inclusive Technologies3 ch

Students in this course will engage in the applied use of assistive, adaptive, and inclusive technologies, exploring a range of technologies — from tactile supports, visual schedules, and adapted writing tools to embedded digital features, specialized software, and adaptive devices. These tools will be examined for their potential to enhance access, engagement, and autonomy in diverse learning contexts. Practical experiences will be grounded in the principles of universal design, user-centered practice, and co-design with learners to promote agency, self-advocacy, and sustainable accessibility solutions.
