This course explores the diverse ways in which individuals learn, with a focus on strengths-based and inclusive approaches to supporting learners with varied cognitive profiles, including those historically identified with learning disabilities. Students will critically examine current research, theories, and educational practices through the lens of accessibility and presumed competence. Emphasis is placed on collaborative, agency-supportive strategies that foster autonomy, engagement, and meaningful participation in learning across contexts – home, school, and community.
