Software process methods have developed over the years. Yet, research in software processes is far from complete. This course will put students in charge of a research effort to reach the state of the art in software process and look at the next promising approaches. The course will be divided into two parts. Part I will take a critical look at several examples of software processes. Part II will investigate several process tools that claim to enhance software processes and the criteria for their use.
