UNB Fredericton's Faculty of Arts Internship program places Arts students in internships with local non-profit organizations, agencies, non-governmental organizations, businesses, and other community partners. This is a 3-credit-hour, graduate-level learning opportunity that combines work with a community partner and the completion of a major project. Work with a community partner will normally include financial compensation, contingent upon available funding. Note: Grading for this course is credit (CR)/no-credit (NCR). Internships are coordinated by a team composed of a staff member from the host partner, a member of the student's graduate academic unit (e.g., Director of Graduate Studies, Research supervisor), and the Associate Dean (Research and Graduate Studies) in the Faculty of Arts or their designate. Onsite supervisors from the host partner mentor students on the job, supervisors from the student's graduate academic unit provide feedback and evaluate academic work, and Faculty of Arts AD or their designate provide administrative support and assures the grade assignment of course credit. Enrolment is limited and subject to approval by the Faculty of Arts in coordination with the student's designated graduate program's director. | ||
