Let your child’s musical potential flourish in this junior string orchestra.

Learn with friends in this orchestra for budding junior musicians for ages 8-10. Our teacher, Natalia, will guide your child’s playing with a wide variety of music and activities. Your young musician will have an opportunity to enjoy music-making with a group of peers.

This junior orchestra is for violin students aged 8-10 who have had about one or two years of playing experience.

About the instructor

Natalia Lubimova has had an international career as a performer and pedagogue. Natalia was educated at the Central Music School for Talented Children and at the Moscow State Conservatory of Tchaikovsky in a Viola class. There, she received an honors degree in teaching, orchestral music, solo and chamber music.

She began teaching viola at the Moscow State Conservatory at the age of 19 as an assistant of Professor Galina Odinets. She also taught as a violin teacher at a music school in Moscow. In addition to teaching, she performed concerts as a soloist and chamber musician. She also secured a job as Artist of the State Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Evgeny Svetlanov.

After graduating from the conservatory, Natalia moved to Germany where she continued teaching and performing. Natalia Lubimova is the organizer and director of the children's cultural festival "Ostern & Classic" in Hamburg (Germany). Furthermore, she is the director of the organization "Classical Music and Culture for Children".

She has also been a guest at numerous music festivals as a performer, teacher and jury member. Her students are recipients of numerous prizes and actively participate in concerts and festivals in Germany and Europe.

Natalia’s first book on playing the violin for young children "My Magic Violin" was published in 2019. In 2020, Natalia Lubimova moved to Fredericton with her family and is happy to start working at the UNB.
