The Centre for Musical Arts (CMA) is UNB’s music hub, which offers a variety of non-credit music programs through the College of Extended Learning (CEL) and credit programs through the Faculty of Arts.
Our music programs are offered through these main areas:
Credit Courses | Students can earn credits through a Minor in Music, individual music courses, or participation in Band, Chorale, or Chamber Orchestra. |
Music Conservatory | Music programs for all ages, including private and group lessons, adult and youth ensembles, and music workshops and classes. |
Summer Music Camps | Musical camps tailored to various ages, levels, and interests. |
March Break Camp | Fun filled musical camp offered during March Break. |
musicUNB | An annual concert series that features chamber and cutting-edge classical music performances. All are welcome! |
The Past of Music at UNB | A history of past musicians, groups and activities |
Our mission is to offer high-quality music programming and activities, accessible to both UNB students and the wider Fredericton community. We work hard to ensure:
CMA is housed in Memorial Hall, which opened in 1925 in honour of the 35 UNB alumni who lost their lives in the First World War.
The Centre for Musical Arts is where you can also find information about Atlantic Sinfonia and the NB Summer Music Festival.
