Giving back to UNB

Karen Perry, Holly McArthur, recipient of the Ashoki Sujanani Scholarship and second-year arts student, and Chris Gilliss (BBA'75). Karen and Chris established the scholarship in memory of their friend Ashoki Sujanani (BScEng'78).

UNBers have a proud history of supporting each other and their communities. The tradition of “giving something back” to UNB for the benefit of students now, and in the future, continues to enrich and strengthen our university.

Thanks to the financial support of faculty and staff, alumni and community partners, UNB has been able to secure research appointments for internationally renowned scholars, travel study and work study programs for students and state-of-the-art facilities for learning. Our donors help us deliver entrepreneurship programs that have placed UNB in the first rank of Canadian universities and athletic programs that produce national calibre teams and well-rounded student athletes. These are only a few of the significant achievements that have been made possible through the generosity of our alumni and friends.

Our donors also enable UNB to provide student financial support in the form of scholarships, prizes and bursaries. These awards make the high-quality education that we offer at UNB accessible to more students, while rewarding talent, determination and hard work. Each scholarship, prize or bursary that we award is an affirmation that students are on the right path, and that their efforts are supported by the university community.
