The Department of Student Services at UNB Saint John supports and provides a student-centered learning environment. Student Services is committed to meeting the developmental needs of individual students, fostering a caring environment, and encouraging personal and intellectual growth.
Student Services professionals are partners in the University’s academic mission and contribute to campus life through the operation and support of a variety of programs and services. Student Accessibility Centre: The Centre assists students with disabilities seeking academic accommodation. The centre is equipped with assistive technology designed to help students with sight impairments, learning disabilities, or hand coordination difficulties to excel at university.
Career and Personal Counselling: Confidential, supportive counselling covering issues of anxiety and depression, stress management, substance abuse and relationship problems.
Employment Services: We assist students seeking permanent, summer, or part-time employment. We offer one-on-one counselling on job search techniques, resume writing and interview skills.
Financial Aid and Scholarship Advising: Worried about the cost of university and debt load management? Whether you are a part-time or full-time student, come in and see us about loans, scholarships, and bursaries.

Ombudsperson: The Director of Student Services advises students on making appeals to the University on academic and disciplinary matters.
Study Skills Counselling: Various workshops, and individual consultations are offered to help you adjust to university, get organized, do better on exams, cope with pressure, manage your time, make better lecture notes and improve your reading.
International Student Advising: Providing advice to international students before they depart, arranging airport pick up, and planning International Student Orientation, the International Student Advisors are available to assist students.
Campus Contributions: We can direct students to clubs, organizations and opportunities available on campus in order to enhance the university experience. The Campus Contribution Transcript allows students to have their efforts on campus recorded and recognized by the university.
Student Health Centre: The Student Health Centre is located behind the Athletics Centre. A list of services and hours of operation is available or you can contact them directly at (506) 648-5656.
Writing Centre: Students seeking assistance with their writing assignments or who are working to improve their writing skills should contact the Writing Centre in the Hans W. Klohn Commons.
