Constance Van Horne PhD, MBA
Assistant Professor of Management
Constance Van Horne joined the Faculty of Business at UNB Saint John in August 2017. Dr. Van Horne received her MBA and PhD at Laval University in Quebec City, Canada and holds a Bachelor of History from the University of Victoria. After graduating in June 2009, Dr. Van Horne moved to the United Arab Emirates where she worked for over seven years. She taught in the fields of communications, management and entrepreneurship and was actively involved in university and community life.
She has published peer reviewed articles, chapters and conference presentations on university-industry relationships, innovation processes, Emirati entrepreneurship, Emirati leadership, innovation processes in the UAE and Emiratisation. Her research has been cited in many publications in the UAE and internationally, including the BBC and the National.
Dr. Van Horne uses experiential learning and service learning in and outside the classroom to provide hands-on experience to her students. She is always looking for ways to incorporate the wider community into her lesson plans and looks forward to working with organizations in Saint John to assist in preparing her students for productive and worthwhile careers.
