Learning from feedback
One of the most valuable components of our co-op program is the feedback that our students receive from their employer while completing their work terms.
To help facilitate this process, we ask that employers provide the following:
Provide full time employment (min. 35 hr/week) to the student for the duration of their work term
Appoint a supervisor to provide appropriate training, mentoring and feedback to the student
- Provide a valuable and productive work experience
- Complete student performance evaluations at the mid-point and end of the work term
- Meet with the Co-op Coordinator for a work site visit
- Assist the student in choosing a work term report topic
- Review and sign the student’s completed work term report
- Contact the co-op office should an issue arise
