Academic standing

The University calculates two grade point averages which form part of the student’s official record: the Assessment Grade Point Average and the Cumulative Grade Point Average.

Both are listed on a student's transcript. The assessment GPA is calculated at the end of the academic period May-April as long as 24 credit hours or more have been attempted in a particular program.

In order to stay in good academic standing, a student must achieve an assessment GPA of 2.0 or better. The Cumulative Grade Point Average is based on all work taken toward a degree.
