Strategies

The Research Centre, led by Dr. Scott Bateman, will leverage the strengths of UNB researchers and strategic partnerships with leading regional technology leaders, like Kognitiv Spark, to establish UNB and New Brunswick as international leaders in spatial computing technologies.

By adopting a multidisciplinary approach encompassing computer science, engineering, social sciences, business, and law, SPECTRAL aims to transform industries such as health, education, defense, and aerospace through the adoption of mixed reality technologies.

Through applied collaborative R&D projects, research-as-a-service contracts, and new IP development, SPECTRAL focuses on industry-driven research that enables radical change across sectors.
